Products Welder

Reports To: Phil Ziegler

Training Level: Level 3 Welder ($18.69 – $22.59/hour)
Advancement to Level 2 Welder ($20.82 – $25.06/hour) available upon successful training and demonstrated ability to weld all products within the business unit.


Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Products Welder to join our team. This position begins with Level 3 training and offers advancement opportunities to Level 2 upon proficiency in welding all product types. The ideal candidate will have hands-on welding experience and a strong commitment to quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety procedures, policies, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) requirements.

  • Perform all-position welding according to established procedures and specifications.

  • Accurately position fabricated components using fit-up jigs, fixtures, and turning rigs as required.

  • Ensure high standards of product quality and maintain excellent safety practices.

  • Support and participate in the training and safety of fellow team members.

  • Comply with documented work procedures and company policies outlined in the employee handbook.

  • Maintain responsibility for both the quality and quantity of finished welded products.

  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

  • Keep work areas clean and organized in accordance with housekeeping standards.

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on welding equipment and associated tools.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision while upholding safety, quality, and productivity expectations.

  • Be capable and prepared to weld all product lines within the business unit.

  • Be flexible and willing to cross-train and assist in other departments as needed.

  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Team Leader.


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of welding experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including weld and assembly drawings.

  • Skilled in preparing, assembling, and tack-welding components prior to final welding.

  • Capable of monitoring the welding, burning, and fitting processes to prevent warping, shrinkage, distortion, or overheating of parts.

  • Proficient in reading a tape measure.

  • Willingness to be trained and certified in overhead crane operation.

Press Operator (1st Shift)

Reports To: Phil Ziegler
Pay Range: Level 2* ($19.74 – $22.41/hour)


Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Press Operator for our 1st shift. This role is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery to form sheet metal components according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and able to interpret blueprints with precision.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate press brake equipment to bend and form sheet metal in accordance with blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Set up machines with proper tooling, adjustments, and configuration for each job.

  • Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards.

  • Perform routine maintenance and ensure safe operation of machinery.

  • Follow safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.

  • Maintain clean and organized workstations.

  • Accurately shape and fabricate components based on technical specifications.


Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to visualize finished products.

  • Solid math skills and the ability to perform accurate measurements.

  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials.

  • Experience with setting up and operating press brake machinery.

  • Knowledge of programming functions and machine setup is preferred.

  • Familiarity with safety practices and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Ability to work with precision and attention to detail.

  • Skilled in using basic hand tools and maintaining equipment.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Commitment to meeting all company and industry safety standards.
