Mexico’s largest cattle feedlot duplicate facility

As the largest automated cattle feed installation in Mexico, Productores Ganaderos Gusi wanted a new facility that would be a duplicate of its existing production. The facility handles a range of products, including soybean meal, dried distillers grains, corn, hay, flake corn, silage, micro-ingredients, and liquids. As part of the project in Tamuin, Mexico, Sweet Manufacturing, based in Springfield, Ohio, US, supplied a range of handling equipment. It took about 18 months to complete the project, which included four belt conveyors with a capacity of 500-MTPH, 250- to 400-foot-long by 72-inch-wide incline belt conveyors with covers; two 150-MTPH, 86-foot-long by 30-inches-wide by 26-inches-high 30° incline drag conveyor; two large capacity incline conveyors made of stainless steel; six horizontal conveyors made of stainless steel; and two sets of heavy-duty valves and accessories made of stainless steel to connect the system. Sweet worked with Productores Ganaderos Gusi before on its first storage and cattle feedlot production site.
